Applications/Usage

Q. How can I show a single Computer or notebook to two displays simultaneously and wirelessly at native resolution (aka best picture quality)?
Sending a single computer or notebook's video signal wirelessly to two displays (Projector, Plasma or LCD or monitor) is not possible due to limitations in 802.11g networking standard and TCP/IP structure.

It can be achieved using a combination of Wireless and Wired solution (using existing standard CAT5e or CAT6 cable for VGA over UTP)

Notebook clients connect wirelessly or through access point (if LAN port on WiD110 is connected to existing data network) and send VGA-XGA-WXGA signal  via 802.11g/b to Teq AV/IT's WiD110 Wireless Video Receiver.  VGA output of WiD110 is connected to TPY-Transmitter that connects to Projector and sends VGA over CAT5 to TPY-Receiver located up to 500ft /1000-ft away.  TPY Receiver's output is connected to second display's input for simultaneous display of wireless notebook computer on projector and LCD/Plasma and is free to move around anywhere within the room (up to 150-ft radius).

Q. How does the WiD110 work?
Through 802.11b and 802.11g wireless technology, the WiD110 software captures your screen image and sends it wirelessly to the WiD110 receiver. Then, the WiD110 receiver outputs your PC screen to the projector

Q. What is the difference between Ad-hoc and Infrastructure mode?
Ad-hoc allows you to connect from the computer directly to the projector. Your wireless card has a dedicated connection to the WiD110 receiver and cannot access other wireless networks.

Infrastructure allows you to connect from the computer through your wireless network to the projector. This allows you to simultaneously access other wireless network resources as you utilize the WiD110 receiver.

Q. How many people can use WiD110 at the same time?
Only one person can make presentation at a time. But WiD110 allows up to 24 clients to connect at the same time and wait their turn for projection.

Q. Can the WiD110 support a video clip?
WiD110 supports video mode for playback MPG, MPEG, DAT, VOB, WMV9, and ASF video. For best video playback performance, 802.11g is recommended and actual performance will vary depending on environment.

Q. Can I get DVI output from the WiD110?
Not directly, however in order to get DVI output from the WiD110 you will need an external VGA to DVI converter.

Q. Where can I install the WiD110 hardware?
There are two ways to place the WiD110. The first way is horizontally on a flat surface, so it sits on its bottom panel. The other is to mount it, using the included mounting kit.

Q. How do you know the WiD110 is ready for connection and streaming?
When the projector shows the default menu on screen, it indicates the WiD110 is now ready.

Q. What is the default IP address of the WiD110?
The default IP address is 192.168.100.10, otherwise can be found on the lower left hand corner of the projector screen.

Q. How do I download the utility for the WiD110?
Once you have established a connection to the WiD110, browse its IP address in your web browser. Click ‘Download’ and execute the installation process. After installation, a ‘WPS’ shortcut will show on your desktop.

Q. What is the ‘Login Code’?
It is a security code that must be entered before being allowed to stream video. It keeps others from outside the meeting from having access to the projector.

Q. How do I playback video files?
Click the ‘Video’ tab within the utility to open a video file for playback. MPG, MPEG, DAT, VOB, WMV9, and ASF are supported video formats.

Q. How do I open the Admin Page?
Once connected to the WiD110, browse its IP address in your web browser. From here you will have access to download the utility, Conference Control, and administration. The default IP address is 192.168.100.10.

Q. What is Conference Control?
This function allows you to host a meeting smoothly without projector cable swapping with each participant able to show their own presentation from their own computer.  Click on Menu on top of WPS utility and then login in to Conference Control mode by logging as Trainer with trainer as password.

Q. How do I adjust the output display settings on the WiD110?
